In the process, I found a viable use for Esperanto. It let me use some French grammatical elements in isolation as 'training wheels' of a sort. Really, that just means Espo is too hard for ESLers. My mental limits, including Acoustic Processing Disorder, make it unlikely I will ever be able to speak in French. I am also unable to follow Incubo Epso dialogue, despite completing the DuoLingo Espo course. Meeting the local Espo club last year in a crowded and loud restaurant had a similar result. But all is not lost, nor reason to despair. My 'IAL for dummies' awareness means I still have the easiest word boundaries to parse. I woke up today thinking about triconsanantal radicals and such. I'll be taking a break from social media once this election campaign finishes this month. And then it's auxlangs for fiction story time!
